Never received our renewal invoice payment due 11/30/21

I received an e-mail, I sent back a request for my I.D. cards. I never got our complete invoice and attachments, I also requested those. Requested 2 time for above products. I received in the U.S. mail, a "courtesy renewal reminder notice" due 11/30/21 not what I wanted. If I needed to report an accident it concerns me, because the whole website is not user friendly

User's recommendation: Find another auto ins. carrier.

Cancelled Policy

I was setup on auto-pay. 21st called to tell me my payment did not go through in February. Something was overcharged in my account by another company. I called 21st back and made the payment. My car gets hit in April, talk to 21st get everything taken care of. In June! I go online to get a print out of my insurance card and it says my policy is going to be cancelled the next day. It was a Sunday. Monday I call to see what is going on. They say back in February, they took my auto-off. I have talked to them multiple times nothing was said. Told them about the mix-up and offered to pay the balance. They said nothing could be done.

Same thing happened to me. My bank issued me a new credit card.

I made a mistake and forgot to notify 21st. They never called, texted or emailed me. They say the mailed me a notice, but I never say it. I came home and in the mail are 2 notices from the DMV saying my registrations were being revoked.

I called 21st and they said that my policy was cancelled and could not be reinstated. They also said they would not give me a new policy. They admitted they never called, texted, or emailed me about the billing issue. I had been with them for over 12 years.

No accidents and no tickets. Granted, I made the mistake of not telling them the new billing info. But they had 5 ways to contact me and failed all 5. Pathetic.

So now I am with Allstate.

Same rate, same coverage, great local office and great service. I'll be moving my home owners insurance to Allstate as well.

No more 21st Century. And there name should be 20th Century since they don't use "Modern Communication Technology." Seriously, using the mail? Way not call me?

Text me?

Email me? Not "21st Century." We are done.

Canceled auto policy

I am very disappointed in 21st Century. I have been a customer for way over 15 yrs and recently we moved into a new house with alot to do. I called them to update my new address and thought at that time I updated my new debit card that would expire soon. Then less than a month later I get a call saying our policy was canceled.I was shocked. They claim they mailed me a notice and emailed. I never received either! A supervisor I spoke with even said it seemed they has problems with sending me emails according to their records. Also I believe they sent the notice to our old address and the new renters never forwarded it back. I did put in a change of address. So just because my debit card date expired I was canceled and made to get a new policy costing me more money down and now we are paying double what we were paying for 6 months. They claim we have to pay more because now we had a lapse in coverage and if you don't have continued coverage they charge more for 6 mos. Now we got our new policy and what a surprise (because they never make any mistakes) they have all the old address on the mailing envelope and the new policy!!. So I had to spend my time calling and telling them this. Now they will have to revise it all and mail out the correct papers. Shame on you 21st Century for not being willing to work with a long time customer and just re instating the old policy. The decision was yours and I know that for a fact because the Idaho Dept of Insurance told me this was up to them. I have referred so many people to them over the years. No More!! And I may switch now because of this. I have homeowners with another company so I will look into that. Just shows how much you care about loyalty and customer satisfaction. No room for mistakes unless they are your mistakes. Never even apologized for sending the new policy info to the wrong address and that I had to take time to call again.

You are lucky you didn't have an accident while you were uninsured. I suggest you put a reminder on your calendar so you never miss a payment again. The consequences are just too serious.

21st Century - Terrible company! inept at business practices

For over 10 years, I had a 5 vehicle policy with 21st Century. So plenty of experience with them. I'm really happy to be done with them. As a preface, I will point out that I was the perfect customer for an insurance company. Never filed an insurance claim in my life. Never been in an accident. Haven't had a moving violation since 1983. And have never been late on a payment to them or anybody else in my entire life. So how could I have such a distaste for them? Well I can't count on all my fingers and toes the number of hours I have spent on the phone and at the computer ironing out all of the mistakes they make. And if you think dealing with outsourced customer service reps is a debacle just wait until you have to deal with this company. The final straw was when they credited a partial 6 month payment back to my credit card with no explanation. When I called them they told me they were canceling my policy. They hadn't even notified me. When I called to ask why, they said they have new underwriting guidelines and my motor home doesn't meet the new guidelines. They told me that I would have to provide proof that I have insured the motorhome with another company or proof that I have sold it before they would reinstate my policy. I couldn't believe it! And with no notice! I'd had that motorhome insured with them for over a decade and spent well over $20,000 with them and never filed a claim or had an accident or citation and never a late payment. So here is the irony, but typical of what you can expect from them. Now they are billing me a $50 policy cancelation fee.

21st canceled my husband's policy for no reason

My husband went on his online banking for other reasons, all to find that his payment for the last month had been refunded. He immediately went on his insurance page, all to find that his policy had been canceled due to lack of payment. We called his bank to make sure that it wasn't a funds issue (stuff happens), and the transactions did not exist, even though we had a printed copy, from the day before, they said that most likely the transactions had been "voided". The funds were taken, then given back, they show that as basically the transaction had never taken place; *** policy in my opinion. We told 21st this and they said as long as his bank could provide proof we wouldn't have to pay the cancellation fee (for something we never canceled) and the fees for the month of service that they refunded without cause. But, of course, the bank has no real record of any of this, they said they might be able to hunt down the initial transaction records, but because they had been deleted basically that might not be a possibility. 21st refused to admit fault and reverse the charges unless there was hard evidence from the bank and not from our online banking printouts. They also said that paying the fees would not reinstate my husband's insurance. He would have to pay them, then delegate with an agent to see at what rate the company would take him back on. This is fricken outrageous.

This is an issue with the bank, not the insurance company. Take your printout to your bank and demand an explanation that will hold up in court. Like "I want a written explanation of what occurred in my account on this date and time on this printout."

Cancelled my car insurance

Received 2 checks in the mail from 21st Century Insurance with no explanation. When I called to ask what for...they told me because they cancelled my insurance...I asked why??? They said it was for non payment!!! What??? I have all my bills and online receipts of making all payments!!! They told me they sent a cancellation notice, which I never received, but would gladly reinstate my policy for a fee. What???? It it's funny how I received all my bills, but never received a cancellation notice by mail...email...or by phone!!!! But they would gladly take my hard earned money to reinstate something that I had already spent hard earned money on!!! No thank you!!! I will take my hard earned money elsewhere!!! Hopefully another company will have better customer service and would be willing to admit that they fell short offering their service. I will now spend my evening at home not with my family, but trying to find car insurance. Thanks for nothing but aggravation 21st Century car insurance!!!!

I have been playing phone tag with this company and I want it to stop. I had openned a new account and was told it would cost 52 dollars a month. I have not paid the first insalmnent because my RATES HAVE NOT DROPPED DOWN PAST 200 WTF? Can someone please just bring my payment to 52 dollare x 2?

Look for a new insurance company with the rate you want. Fighting with a company about price of their product is useless.

21 Century Insurance refuses to correct their error

Days after we separated, my ex husband was in an at-fault auto accident. We still had a joint policy (as is required when you file for a divorce in CA until final judgment, written agreement or court order), but 21st century listed BOTH of us as the primary driver in the accident. I was not in the car, not even in the same city, when it happened, but every time they run my driving record, my "at fault accident" comes up. It also comes up on his, so we both get blamed as the driver for one accident. My insurance rates have been though-the-roof high while I try to get 21st century to take it off my record. They admit, by phone, that they messed up, but will not provide me a valid letter stating that, nor will they remove the erroneous listing from my driving report! I have no tickets, no accidents, but pay outrageous rates while they refuse to fix this!!!!

21ST Century SUCKS

I logged into my online account to make my payment 9 days early, and a message appears stating that the policy is canceled and I can not make any changes online. I called, and the representative stated that the policy was canceled by me. I explained that I did not cancel my policy, and that I did not receive any notice that the policy was canceled almost 3 weeks ago. My wife and I have been driving around with no insurance! She tried to get more information, but the person who made the notes in my account was not available. I told her that I needed the policy reinstated immediately. She said that she couldn't reinstate it, but could pass me to a sales person to write a new policy. So, I am transferred, and had to give all of my information again. Apparently, he could not copy anything from my previous policy. When all is said and done, he quotes me almost DOUBLE my previous policy! I asked why, and he stated it was because of the lapse in coverage. I went ballistic! The lapse was due to their error! I told him to go to ***, and I would get insurance elsewhere. I then logged onto Geico and obtained a policy that was around the same price as my original 21st Century policy. around 9:30 pm, he called back to state that yes, it was their fault. Someone had made an error, and that my policy was reinstated with no penalties. I told him that because of their screw-up, I obtained insurance elsewhere. The next day, there was an email for me, and I had a balance due of $60.00. Apparently, they had mailed me a refund check, which I did get today, so I owed the balance of the almost 3 weeks of coverage. I paid it, but will never do business with them again I am also going to file a BBB complaint.

They bait and switch! No claims or violations over 1st year with them ...

they go raise our rates by 22 percent! Complained and got the shrug and lame excuse of "everybody got raised because 'your area/state' had higher # of claims in recent past".

Moving on to the next underwriter at a lower rate. Just trying to keep up against a despicable industry!

#506250

I wouldn't use them just based on their retarded TV commercials

21st century insurance

If you are looking for an insurance quote dont bother calling 21st century..the customer service reps are rude and ask a bunch of personal questions that are unnecessary..i tryed to call back and complain and the second rep was just as rude as the first and i really dont trust them having any of my personal information..i will never call this company again..not to mention the fact that they wanted double the amount of all the other companies..so needless to stay it was the worst experience i have hade yet with car insurance companies and i will not be calling them back at all..

21st Century Car Insurance just stuck it in and broke it off!!!!!

Seriously!!!!! I've had car insurance with them for 4 years!!!! After each 6 month policy renewal passed my premium got lower, to where it is now at $657.00. I just called to renew my policy, and they had the nerve to tell me that they do not write the type of policy I had before. They can write me a new policy, with the EXACT same coverage, for $1516.00 for 6 months!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had no tickets, and the only accident I had was in 2007 and I was REAR ENDED!! State troopers even said in their report NOT MY FAULT!!!! So where do they get the audacity to raise my rate almost $1,000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! These guys are 100% crooks.
